The mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember our fallen US Veterans, Honor those who serve, and Teach our children the value of freedom.

This vital mission is carried out each holiday season through coordinated wreath-laying ceremonies across our nation. To accomplish this, generous individuals, businesses, and civic groups choose to sponsor or donate to purchase wreaths placed on the graves of those who gave their lives to protect our way of life.

Each hand-made, fresh, live wreath costs $17 to sponsor and is made in the United States with Maine balsam. To sponsor a wreath or wreath, simply complete and mail the attached form.  We greatly appreciate your support.

We will acknowledge your contribution with placement of your logo on both the Battell and Read Chapter Website, and public Facebook page as well as in a thank you ad to run in the local newspaper, The Weekly.

Locally, ceremonies will be held on Saturday, December 14^th, 2024 at both Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemeteries in Millsboro, Delaware (10:30 a.m.) and in Bear, Delaware (12 noon), for the placement of wreaths where a combined 17,000 local veterans are laid to rest. This is open to anyone who would like to attend, and we welcome you to join us.

On behalf of the Battell and Read Chapter DAR, all volunteers and military families looking to honor all the veterans laid to rest at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemeteries and the Wreaths Across America extended family, thank you for your consideration of this patriotic cause.
